"On reflection I feel like I must have been suffocating. So I wanted to say thank you for giving me the space to breathe again and find the ability to uncoil and soften. I am so grateful, as are my family."
-
"I will just conclude by wishing you my deepest heartfelt thanks for standing me back on my feet again and pointing me out the right door in order to get on with it. You really made a silk purse out of a sow’s ear there!"
-
"I just wanted to say thank you. I can’t believe what happened today. It was so surreal and unexpected but totally life changing. I drove home feeling like a new person. I feel lighter and brighter and I just cannot thank you enough. You gave so much of yourself."
-
"I cannot thank you enough, the amount I have learnt about myself, overcome and discovered. I have discovered things about myself I never knew. I have learnt a lot. That I am stronger than I ever realised. That we are all human and we all have flaws but we are not defined by these. If you want something enough you can achieve it. If you want to work on yourself, you can. I am really proud of how far I have come."
-
"You have given me the safety to find the courage to dig deep inside, to address and repair some painful memories and help me ‘row my own boat’. Hands down I couldn’t have made it through these past months without your help and support. You are an exceptional listener, but I am most grateful for your warmth, kindness, understanding and non-judgemental approach that you have shown me. I am deeply grateful and I feel I am becoming a better person from your counselling."
-
"I just wanted to write and thank you for your kindness, patience and professionalism during my 4 month treatment. Being treated for something that you can’t physically see was a concept I initially struggled with. However my visits to you helped me to understand my symptoms, recognise what influences them and how to positively address them, which at times I was never sure I would be able to do. I have no previous experience of specialist ENT therapy, but you’d have to go a long way to beat my patient experience of treatment with you."
-
"Counselling with you is honestly the best thing I’ve ever made myself do. A real life changer. I dread to think what would have happened had I not plucked up the courage to attend counselling. I am so much happier now. "
-
"My husband is now seeing a counsellor because he could see how beneficial it’s been for me. I’ve really valued my time with you, thank you. "
-
"Thank you for all the times you helped me work out how to deal with my problems. I don’t think you realise how much you did help. I always felt you spoke with sense and understanding. "
-
"I cannot begin to thank you enough for everything you have done for me. You have had such a massive impact on my life, and in turn of course, that of the family. I am completely indebted to you. Thank you so much Amanda. "
-
"I just wanted to say thank you. You saw me at my worst and maybe at my most grounded by the end. Thank you for the listening ears and non-judgement and support when it got too much. "

"Thank you for your wonderful help with *. Being able to share what we are going through and be given some strategies and ideas to help him and ourselves is such an uplifting experience in itself. I feel like I can try and understand him better but now know some help will allow him to try and work his way through this tricky patch."
-
"As we approach the end of the school year I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the work that you have done with *. The progress that we have seen is remarkable."
-
"I am so happy we took the time to engage your services as I think it’s had a lasting positive impact on our family. Enabling * to spend that time with you and the feedback you gave us at the time has been invaluable to her mental health (and ours). Best thing we ever did!
-
"It has been so helpful coming to see you, especially a couple of days prior to the ASD assessment. We really value your input and I feel that the sessions with * and feedback you have felt able to give have really helped us to move forward."
-
"I wanted to write an email to you to say a huge thank you for the precious and meaningful time you gave us in talking through the work that you’ve been doing with *. We have had some time to reflect on and work with your feedback and we’re in agreement that it has been extremely useful. We were with you for 2 hours and the quality of feedback was so high. I do believe that talking therapy is only as good as the therapist and we have completely lucked out with you. Thank you for taking the time to know and understand our daughter so that we might know and understand her better too."
-
"I have loved our sessions and have found them hugely beneficial in understanding how * thinks and works, my relationship has improved with her no end. I would never have thought that even little changes each week would have such immediate improvements. I have found it massively rewarding and fascinating, even though some things seem so obvious when explained."
-
"You have done amazingly with * and got him through the darkest of hours and we are incredibly grateful. Thank you again for all your help and support."

"I just want to say thank you for everything you have done for me. My teacher always said you was an amazing woman and she is completely right. I’m very nervous to stop my sessions with you although I am finally ready to put an end to my counselling (never thought I would say that). Even though you say I did it myself, you have changed my life around and got me through tough situations that have had a traumatic effect on me. As you know I’ve tried many counsellors, however you have been by far the best and the relationship we share is something I will treasure forever. When I first started seeing you I didn’t know who I was anymore. I had zero confidence in myself and I honestly can’t thank you enough for everything you have done for me. Without your help I wouldn’t be as strong as I am today! I never thought this day would come so thank you so so so much."
-
"I just wanted to say the biggest thank you possible to you. The way that you have supported and guided me through all of my troubles and worries. The way you have helped me when I have not seen that I needed help. They way that you accept me for who I am. Or the way you have stuck with me even though at times I’ve given you sh*t. All of this as just a few examples of the amazing things you have done for me and I am honestly so so so grateful. Just thank you, thank you so much for being such an incredible, caring person. I know for a fact I will never forget you and all that you have done for me."
-
"This is difficult for me to write as I’m not sure what to say, you have helped me so much and I can’t thank you enough. The first time we met I was so scared that I wouldn’t be able to tell you things but you were so kind, welcoming and lovely I instantly knew I could trust you. Everything you said really made me think about me as a person. You taught me about my feelings, responsibility of emotions and how to keep my anxiety at bay. I am glad I got the opportunity to work with you during counselling you’ve really made a difference. I’m sad I won’t see you anymore but I feel like I am ready to do it alone now and things are better with dad so I feel happy about that. I can’t thank you enough for your kindness and help."
-
"You have helped me find my voice, to talk to people about how I am feeling. I will continue to use the strategies that we have found together that have worked for me. I have now been able to give some advice to people to help them along their way through their life. You have helped me in so many ways, at the beginning when we had started our sessions together I did not think that it was possible to go on but you made me see that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel but there will most likely be something in the way that may feel like it is impossible to get around at the time. I hope that you will continue to do what you are doing and continue to change peoples lives and help them to get through things that may make them feel that it is impossible to get through.."

"Gunna miss you dude. Thank you for encouraging me to grow and thank you for never giving up on me even when I had given up on myself. Thank you for being my safe person. I don’t know how to explain how grateful I am to have had you in my life. I feel so unbelievably blessed. Thank you for helping me see that not all adults are mean and shouty. You’re definitely one of my favourite adults (if not the favourite). Thank you for everything, you’re incredible. I’m glad you exist."
-
"I just wanted to say thank you. I cannot express how much you have helped me this year. And I genuinely don’t know what state I’d be in if I hadn’t been to see you. I have never been one to talk a lot so I don’t know what sort of magic you have….. I have always been sceptical of therapy but I’d recommend you to anyone who needs it."
-
"I wanted to thank you wholeheartedly for being quite literally the best. Without your insight, wisdom and such understanding I would not be half as at ease as I am today. Never did I think I’d enjoy therapy to the extent that I actually looked forward to it. School would honestly not have such fond memories if it weren’t for you. I felt completely heard and seen by you and never felt ashamed for an issue, big or small. After being in the care of CAMHS it felt truly refreshing to come to you. Not only for wider perspective but also to be treated as though I wasn’t mentally unwell and insane but mature and worthy. You’re someone I’ll tell my grandchildren about as I explain the rocky patches through my teens and express Amanda Fletcher helped me save myself. Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
-
"I am more than grateful for everything you have done for me over the last couple of terms. I feel as though I have made so much progress with you and it has been lovely to talk to someone with such a kind and caring personality. Your motivation and support has just been amazing and no words can say how thankful I am. Thank you so so much."
-
"I would like to thank you for everything you have done for me over the last few years. I was very troubled going in to year 11 and I can say for certain I wouldn’t have made the turn around I did towards the end of that year if I hadn’t seen you. It has been a blessing to come to you with my issues. You managed to understand, help and sympathise with my situation and above all would never forget the small details or names even if it had been months since my last visit. That is why it always felt easy and natural to come to you. Not just from my opinion but from many, you are one of the best when it comes to what you do and I hope that you will continue to help people just like me. I wish you all the best with your future."
-
"Thank you for listening to me. Thank you for helping me through times that I thought were impossible."
